Japanese Strip Dancer

2010-11 pool partys, new home, was xmas wine tour, hearing dogs center

early November, I was stretched a pretty bad cold down. I lay for a few days in bed - no longer was - and I just slept and sweated. And now that the summer is finally here ...!

On Thursday I was then (personal reasons) decided, Echunga and thus my job with the reptiles, to turn their backs. So I packed my things in the evening, jumped in my car and drove to Adelaide. Since I was still cold always strong, I was very happy that Johan offered me to be accommodated with him. I think I would stand there in a hostel and not more - loud, impersonal, drinking parties ...! My new address is now so Cumberland Park / Adelaide . Cumberland Park (a quiet family house area) is 10 minutes away from downtown and 5 minutes to the Freeway, which leads to the Adelaide Hills. Here I am now living in a 3-bedroom unit (house) with garden, garage and an open kitchen to the dining area. The dance studio is about 10 minutes away from me, and shopping centers are (walking distance) just around the corner. Simply wonderful and very beautiful here. After I had then recovered from this miserable cold, I could now (finally have more free time and more opportunities) take almost daily dance lessons. Monday "Zumba" , Wednesdays Salsa, Thursdays "Zumba" and Saturday "Zouk"! Furthermore, I now need no longer pay for my lessons, but I am doing a favor here and there LDN (Office organization, help with events, reception, ...)

on Saturday and then invited Sam SARANTOS you to BBQ at her house. In addition to great entertainment and delicious grilled meat jumped, then even the guys in the pool. Well, for me it was nothing. It needs a few warm days, until I reingetraue me.

I know it's a little early, but soon is already Christmas - just a little over a month! So Johan and I are to "Big W" (a big shopping center for little money) to buy Christmas decorations. Since we found a tree for $ 28 and could not believe it. So the packed balls and in addition, lights and decoration - together for about $ 50 Since we could not believe that the tree for so little money but should look good, we choose it to set up times. And since then but he looked really great, we have him leave immediately! This is the first time in my life that I sooooo time for Christmas decorating! : O)

Then finally arrived Johan's birthday gift from Germany. E in gossip-breaker for his lamp. 2x clap - to light! and 2x clap - from light! Works great, but I not only thought that the switch does not fit in our outlet here ...! So had to see her adapter and thus the whole structure made a little scary! FROM socket - Adapter - gossip switch - Adapter - plug itself
see ... But I also have finally found a shop in Adelaide that sells some German food! Bismarck herring, pudding mix, applesauce, sauerkraut, red cabbage, ... the list is endless. : O) 11/11/2010

On Thursday, I then visited Luiza to their work. She is head coach of the Lions Hearing Dogs Training Center (she trains dogs so they can help deaf people in everyday life). This is the only center in the whole of Australia! After she had me so rumgefuehrt, I could see at training sessions and help wash the dog. End of the month I'll be back again for an internship ...!

Friday night I drove to "Animals Anonymous" - Staff meeting to Adrian's house to Mylor. After a few organizational speeches by Adrian to his animals and performances, a talk by Jason Carter (Jason is very big in the radio and TVbereich and makes speeches in completed stages) over enjoyed the speeches to large audiences, we then have a cozy campfire .

As promised much sun this Sunday, we went on to Hahndorf to go to the Farm Barn . Jason (from Friday Meeting) has taken over this farm several months ago and I wanted to see now what it is. Hahndorf Farm Barn is a farm and wildlife Park for children with educational animal shows. They also have taken some sick animals and which offer a serene until the end. Especially they are building a reptile area, for which he asked me the same advice.
walked after a few hours on the farm, we still through Hahndorf, enjoyed lunch and chocolate cake at the Cafe "Chocolate No 5" .

My last Monday service in CFS was then still a very special service. We drove to Adelaide Airport Fire Service where rumfuehrte we were on the grounds of the station. Fire station, Ueberwachungsturm, rescue boat, fire truck. Simply amazing how the cars are huge. 4-seater, with all possible facilities and a 16,000 liter tank. A "Monitor" (water spray) on the roof, makes any water attack to the pleasure! After a demonstration, where injected water nozzle on the vehicle which we were allowed to have a go - of course, tried the same time the monitor on the roof. Madness. I will not be covered by it, certainly will break every bone in the body!

Today I then again tried a new kind of dance - Contemporary dance . Is the Jazz Dance / Ballet very similar. I could be the gain, however, nothing that was probably because the coach is the only way through the program and not the end really flew much useful stuck. Was then only a unique experience. After LDN
had scheduled a staff meeting in which I was also invited. We talked mainly about new T-shirt designs and how we can represent us best possible way behind the front desk and should.
When that was then also survived, we brought (Sam, SARANTOS, Johan and myself) food from the Greeks and drove us to Johan's house to be there, end the evening with food and wine.

Not only that weekend, today is the long-xmas ersaehnte wine tour of LDN. At 11 clock we were all (about 25 people) at the studio, where a bus picked us up and brought to Hahndorf for HHW (Hahndorf Hill Winery) . After a guided wine tasting and a complimentary bottle of wine, it went off again into the bus and the next Wineyard. There LDN had rented a room where wine and tapas were served, and lifted the LDN Instructors with funny dances the mood. To 18 us clock the bus then took off again and brought us back to the studio. As a Mexican fundraiser had rented the studio for the evening and we wanted to leave as a dance school end our Christmas party there, so we celebrated together with the fundraiser. As long as there was still light and the sun shines, we enjoyed a few bottles of wine on the outdoor terrace. When we were hungry, we decided together to the opposite local restaurant to go - 6 large variety of pizzas. Sorry Fundraiser has played almost exclusively Mexican music, which we could barely dance (the dance style is basically the hopping from one foot to the other). There was also buying lots and then gains were about 10 spread out on a table. I found a piece of paper on the floor, lifted it up and when I threw it in the trash, I finally realized that there was a lot. Now it was already in the trash ...! I had a feeling that this was a winning ticket! So am I to Johan and I told him about it. He told me to just reach in and take out the lot. I found the idea but really embarrassing to anticipate all the people in the trash. Then I had an idea. We are from the dance school and could easily take out the trash and pack an empty bag in the trash. Looks like we would want to help. Then moved outside with the full bag in a corner and (luckily the lot was at the top) fished out of the lot. I had the feeling to win at 10, my lot had to be there! Around midnight the place was finally drawing of lots (Johan had purchased two lots still fast!). The first lot was drawn and won by a guy named Brian. He was told he could pick up from the table, what he wanted. And that's it ...! A single lot was pulled out of the pot! We looked at all taken aback! But the draw was over. Johan and I almost burst out laughing, especially when we SARANTOS of Sam and our Muelleimerstory told! lol recovered

11/21/2010
and rested, we went in the late afternoon and then to Sam SARANTOS house to the pool & BBQ - Party. Allan (dance teacher from Sydney), Kari and Tyson (Sam's son) were there. As the sun niederbruehte merciless, we all jumped into the water first (well, if you have nice friends here on hot days with a pool)! When we then got the smell of grilled lamb, salads and garlic bread in the nose, it was time to get out.

22.11. - 26.11.2010
Now I have a week's work experience in the Lions Hearing Dogs Centre behind me. Most of the time I spent with Luisa, who showed me what life is a head coach looks like.
Sound Training: train the dog runs to the noise (eg Tuerklingel, telephone, alarm, etc.), then to the deaf person goes, they poke and runs with it to the sound, go for a walk
: train, through the running the city to shop (these dogs are allowed legally in shops and should throw out a shop owner or employee of dog and owner, it can be sued!) or go to the beach where many people - everyday situations, train
Kennel Management: Clean collect all night and day enclosure, food preparation, Pooh, o) tinker
dog toys yourself and then try: Play, play, play,
Dog Wash: Showers, Einschaumen, rinsing, drying and blow-dry, play
cuddling with his dogs and
To set RSPCA go to look for new suitable dogs. This facility saves animals in need and gives them further.
The job itself is really exciting and the thought of how sick or deaf person is helped here is just fantastic. The work - however - is pretty boring. Time will wait here a lot with and sit around spending (before training one can have to the dogs calm down first, take what usually 15 minutes can. They are so excited because they can finally work out that it is difficult, a normal everyday situation ) create. Walkies go is not really my hobby, even if you can always connect to shopping, is probably the most beautiful and someday on the money. From time to time we have been training with Linda (Linda is deaf), which made the whole thing exciting. Luiza then disappeared into a room and started an alarm, Linda and I could not see them because we, for example, in the kitchen with the dog sat. When the alarm went off, I had a thumbs up to show Linda that the alarm has been going on (she lets go of the dog run) and high with a new thumb when I heard that the dog has found the alarm (level 1 of the exercise: find the sound). Sometimes I forgot the last part of my job (thumbs up, when the dog found the sound) and then I realized only at a questioner's face, so that Linda does not hear. Of course, we take much for too much! Since there are people who do not even know that the churning of a toast makes a noise (Luiza told me of a customer who got an implant in his ear and hears for the first time in life and when she chipped in her toast, she heard this funny sounds, to her daughter told her that it is the noise that arises when one has chipped in his toast)! Deaf people have to live every day with the noise in the head, which produces its own brain. Which even me nuts from time to time it - I can cover with the sound from the TV or music, the deaf can not ...! As Linda and Luiza communicate with deaf language, they have taught the same to me a few words and the alphabet. Now I can at least spell in sign language and use the sign for thank you, please, excuse me, some colors, etc..
