So, now it is seriously. Today I completed my application and went straight to the two biggest zoos of South Australia, in order to apply there. In the Adelaide Zoo I was received warmly in the Cleland Wildlife Park are more or less brushed off by the Buerodame. Nevertheless, both kept parks my documents there. The first step towards the future ...
the evening we were invited to Luke and Katysha for dinner - there was Korea table. Quite sharp, there was but a cool drink aloe. My new favorite drink.

As the dance studio in a week organized a big event, we are all super busy. The big ball salsa with dance performances various groups, workshops of the largest dancers from Sydney and Melbourne, and lots of music and cocktails. Therefore, we now spend almost every night in the studio, to decorate, plan and organize.
Tonight is Johan and I drove to Moonlight Open-air cinema in the Botanic Garden . The cards we got for Christmas from Kari. So packed a few snacks and camping chairs and go. Front of the screen showing the best place and "Unstoppable" enjoyed. Unfortunately, a cold breeze came up, so we had to cuddle up in our blanket, and still froze, as we traveled in short shorts and a T-shirt. The film, however, is super exciting. Of course, happens, what you expect, but throughout exciting.

This week I'm going to Lewiston (about an hour north of Adelaide) to gather in a veterinary practice work experience. Currently I am considering whether I want to study to be Vets. Since I'm never been there for a surgery, I do not know if I can handle it. So we started the clock 7.30 to Lewiston.
arrived at 9:00 clock in practice, I received Jo (head vet nurse) and introduced me to everyone. Chris, one of our vets left, part of me Patientengespraechen. Our first case was a 6wochenaltes puppy with diarrhea and the high moisture loss, in a terrible state. Chris and some sisters the boy tried to lay a drip. Due to the lack of water, but they could not hit a vein. My job was to talk to the little ones to soothe and caress it. That was easy!
noon came in a pregnant cat. Chris then brought the kids in an operation to the world. I did not know how ugly can be the little ones when they come out. lol
addition to everyday tasks, like cleaning, I then looked at a couple of neutering of cats and dogs - super exciting. Amazingly, I come with OP's and above all blood really good deal. Chris explained me every step he made and why he is so powerful.
I then went to 18 clock Closing time (the clinic is open until 19.30 clock) and went to Gawler (20 minutes east of Lewiston). Sam's dad (Luke) offered me to stay with him a week. He has a small cottage for guests who may remain in me. On TV, I just see news about the flood in the east of Australia. Here in Gawler it is super hot and dry, all fields are yellow. No rain in sight. So, no worries! I'm fine!

My day began today 7.30 clock since the morning, a dog born decency. But first I fed the puppy of yesterday with the hand. The little one looks today much better. Then I looked to
at the "dogs birth" - that happened also reflected by an OP. A baby after another took out Chris. The sisters rubbed the little ones to encourage them to breathe. Then they put them in an incubator, and my job was to rub them, so they breathe independently.
Our next patient was a dog with an inflammation of the jaw. Chris was operating out of a foreign body and closed the wound. Then a few castrations and between surgeries, my job was to clean the instruments and prepare manuals for dog owners.
I then went to 16 clock back to Gawler. Against 20 clock I remembered that I had a call on my cell phone. So I heard from the mailbox. I wanted to give up, because the voice was the voice mail system I first receiving the announcement and hiring, then a receiving Begruessungtext etc. That was the last thing I wanted to, but I persevered and finally reached my message. The Cleland Wildlife Park wanted to invite me to a meeting next week. I should call back. YEE HAA! I will do the same tomorrow morning.
After supper jumped, I was still in the heated whirlpool, before we went to bed.

Clock Around 8 I called to Cleland's manager, who explained me that they are urgently looking for someone with experience poisonous snake and it's so hard to find someone. Beginning of next week I should look a look. YEAH! Exactly what I hoped! The Cleland Park is just super. Should I do it in there, I've made it. My dream of living in Australia and work with animals, would have finally met ...!
Then it was back to me at the vet. Today, however, it was super quiet. No surgeries, no patients and most of the time I just sat around and waited. Around noon I decided to drive back to Adelaide. I had in the first two days seen enough to make my decision - to make - or vet nurse. The work they do is mind-blowing and exciting. However, I am missing something at work - the contact with the animals. Most of the time they are under anesthesia and when they are awake again go's it back home. So definitely a NO!
Back in Gawler, I packed my things. Luke, who worked for years in the opal industry showed me but before I could even take his workshop where he edited the opals and his office, where he kept all the jewel.

On Friday, we made final preparations for the big night, the Adelaide SALSA BALL 2011! Decorating, Bar allow clean up, print the last poster, pick up special dancers from SYD Airport, ... At the end of the evening eating, we went with Sam, SARANTOS and Allan (dancers from SYD) for Asians.
On Saturday, 1/15/2011, walked then get up early, as even the first dance workshops began at 10.30 clock. That was also equal to the first person I've been through. famous Zumba with Amy Mills that great for her and her body is their mobility. She is Champion Salsa Solo, the hottest and most successful Zumba and Samba teacher. An hour without a break, we have geschundet our body! ; Sweating) In places I've never sweated before, but I enjoyed every second. At the end, I was so exhausted that I always told myself that I give up after the next song. But Amy, with her fresh style (smiling, shouting), one makes you want to just keep making! Simply amazing! Then I felt so good ...! Between two other workshops, Salsa Shines (moves that you make yourself) and Zouk, I was sitting at the entrance, selling tickets for the workshops and for the event in the evening.
Then quickly back home, and moved back to the studio. The studio we have prepared great. A red carpet greeted the guests at the entrance, a lounge right in black and red, with a bar (frozen) strawberry daiquiri and Magarita and prepared a great dance hall. After a couple of frosty drinks and small talk (about 150 people had come), the show began. Lucky me, I found one last seat in the front row. Eight dance groups were performing, student-team, Salsa Nueva ', Professional Team, Salsa Ultima '- both from our school - Amy Mills with a salsa solo and salsa dance groups from Sydney, Adelaide and a hip-hop group. The show was amazing success! Then we were swinging on the dance floor until late into the night.
Sunday (16.01.) Morning we went back out early, because Johan was in Bachata dance workshops. Later, BJ and Stephen Rorke gave Tannos of , A-Live Entertainment ' hip-hop workshops. Johan took part in all, for me, so nothing is hip hop. After the afternoon, the workshops were over, we had cleaned up a bit, we went home for a long nap.

Today I had my Vorstellungsgespraech the 'Cleland Wildlife Park' . You are looking for someone for (for now) 3 months (and if all goes well for permanent employees), which is the animal husbandry / pflegung takes care and gives Tierpraesentationen. Since my responsibility for animals allegedly constantly changed, I have to know about every animal around here (to learn the Accord). We had a long conversation about animal husbandry (such as cleaning, feeding, breeding, and what else is important when we keep animals in captivity), which wants to represent my views in the park (Image of the park, not a petting zoo) and my life. About an hour we talked. they were pretty beidruckt what I really knew about farming - although I much drawn only from the fingers! lol you asked me out on birds, mammals, reptiles and even fish, what to pay attention to what's important. But it seemed she liked my statements.
Then we went over to the practical part. I should have a 'Tiger' snake (poisonous snake) from the enclosure, hooking ', in a bucket and then back into the terrarium. That was pretty nerve-wracking. Most snakes (mulga, Brown, Tiger, Copperhead) here are about two meters long! Andrew, you are looking for the replacement is, after 40 years of experience in snake venom pension. Donna, the manager said at the end to me that I would have mastered the handling great with the snakes. She was super nervous, whether I would have liked tuned. I think she was nervous when I oeser. lol
